Carol J. Amato is an author, editor, and nonfiction book coach. To date, her credits include 29 published books and around 200 articles in national publications. They include nonfiction for writers,  entrepreneurs, and college students and fiction for middle-graders and adults. Her next book is a science fiction novel and will be out in 2021.

Her recent titles include Maximize Your Competitive Edge: 17 Secrets to Make Your Small Business Look Like a Fortune 500 Company, How to Start and Run a Writers' Critique Group, The Secret of Blackhurst Manor (the second book in her middle-grade paranormal mystery series, The Phantom Hunters), How to Create a Teacher's Guide for Your Middle-Grade Book, and Running a Writers' Critique Group in Your Classroom,

Upcoming are Forerunner, a time-travel love story, The World's Easiest Guide to Using the APA, 6th Edition, and The World's Easiest Guide to Using the MLA, 2nd Edition. The latter two are geared for lower-division undergraduate college students.

Carol has a B.A. from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon, and an M.A. from California State University - Fullerton
