Writing Cool Short Stories     Coming 2022

Picture
Writing Cool Short Stories is a guide for parents, teachers, and kids in 4th through 6th grades. It allows you and your students to become familiar with the basics of short-story writing. This book teaches about the parts of a short story, the ingredients for deciding on a plot, creating memorable characters, using believable dialogue, and writing the narrative. It also covers how to stay in viewpoint, choosing person and tense, and using metaphors, similes, and other clever word forms to give a short story that extra punch.

Good writing skills are not stressed enough in schools today. Businesses are seeing the result of this in employees who cannot write reports. Ensuring that students have good writing skills will not only help them get better grades in elementary and middle school but will prepare them for high school, college, and the world of work.
