Whittier Public Library, Whittier, California

Yucaipa Women's Club
Lunch With Friends - Corona Edition
I gave a PowerPoint presentation on Historic Lincoln, England via Zoom. This town, originally settled by the Romans, is one of the towns in which I lived for a few years. You can see more photos of Lincoln on the page with my kids' mystery, The Secret of Blackhurst Manor.
Due to COVID, Lunch With Friends was meeting on Zoom. I gave a presentation on How to Write, Publish, and Market a Book That Sells. This is one of my favorite topics.
One of the things Lunch With Friends does is to get to know each member personally. I gave a presentation on my big Italian Family. This was a Thanksgiving reunion years ago of my dad's side.
Another presentation I gave was about the year I spent at sea on an oil tanker. I titled it, "Gullible's Travels: Life on an Oil Tanker." Our run was from Europe to the Persian Gulf and back. One of my next books will be all about these voyages. Stay tuned!
At Lunch With Friends, my presentation was about my background growing up--showing horses, the schools I attended, and traveling the world. Lunch With Friends is always a very receptive group.
Here I presented a talk on "Making Your Small Business Look Like a Fortune 500 Company," based on my book, Maximize Your Competitive Edge. I revealed a few of the 17 secrets that this book discusses. I love speaking to business groups.
Writers' Club of Whittier

Reading Our Work at Vroman's Book Store, Pasadena, California
We had the pleasure of reading our work to a packed audience at Vroman's Book Store in Pasadena, California. If you're ever in Pasadena, be sure to check out this store. It's rated one of the top independent bookstores in the country.
Writers' Club of Whittier Writers' Night, Whittier, California
Several WCW members, including myself, had the privilege of reading our work in the Nixon Room at the Whittier Public Library. Each March is Writers' Month at the library, and the WCW has an exhibit of the work members have published in the past two years.
Our panel sat at the table while each of us read. We had a great time discussing our books for the Whittier Library patrons.
